Lemon Eau de Vie
How is it made?
• Grinding of ripe and aromatic Tanagra farm lemons (the whole lemon, including pulp and peel).
• Maceration for 2 days with Alc. 96.4% Vol. wine spirit.
• Slow & careful distillation.
• Gradual dilution with water over a period of 3 – 4 months to bottling strength.
How does it taste?
Nose is stunning and gives impression that palate might be sweet, yet it is bone dry. Smooth and dry across with very lively palate. Lemon flavour grows in the mouth and is lifted by firm alcoholic content.
How to enjoy?
Delightful just on its own, or in summer on crushed ice or sorbet with just a dash of syrup if you like. Or drizzle over fruit salad or fish (or even flambé fish). Some people enjoy it with a special cigar…
• Or as an refreshing substitute for Gin in your G&T
• Pairs nicely with dessert, either a lemon-based dessert (lemon cream, lemon sorbet, lemon meringue) or something chocolaty
• Served at room temperature or chilled from the fridge.
